The sound of the old church bell
rings oer the rolling hills,
The grass flows green, as the
bright sun climbs the heav
ens blue,
Laughter and hurrying footsteps
eclio, as hellos and good will
fills
The air of Sunday morning, beau-

A kind old soul with trembling
juuisieps nurnes to the open
door.
Friendly faces smile a welcome
as sue claims her usual
place.
A baby's cry or gurgle brings.
raving glances from three or
four.
A saintly man brings the open
ing prayer, with serious lips
and shining face.

Of his forgiven soul and past

Footsteps hurry home with thank-

It was the time for sowing
as l sat beneath the trees.
And laved my face in sunshine,
And toweled it with the breeze.
The days grew longer, and I
watched
A robin build her nest,
And cradle nebules of the sky
Beneath her tawny breast.
The frogs and crickets lulled my
ears
With soothing summer sounds,
And all of nature was atune
With peaceful, sweet surround's.
The highway teems with industry
As Summer slips to Fall;
And from my vantage point, I'm
pleased
To sit and watch it all!
I have no harvest tn heslnu.
I sowed no springtime seeds!
No need to rouse and labor.
