except hypocrites,
prudes and squares does it open
ly. He also insists that those
who don't do it openly are prob
ably doing it secretly.
My husband says he believes
in being completely honest with
me and he hopes I won't force
him to turn into a sneak, lie
also says a man appreciates his
own wife more after he has been
out with otiier w omen.
This all sounds reasonable to
me when he is saying it. but
when I am alone and start think
ing about it, it doesn't cem
to add up.
I should tell you that I as
born in Europe where the ideas
of home and family are quite
different than in this country.

tional security will be sacrificed

President Kennedy's Aug. 1 news

He said that "any deployed sys
tem which the Soviets are likely
probably not be as effective, ad-
most certainly not more ellecuve,
than the Nike-Zeus." And. he
pointedly added, "It should be
noted that tlie U. S. decided not
lo deploy the Nike-Zeus because
its effectiveness was inadequate.
McN'amara added that "one im
portant point stands out in con
nection with the antiballistic mis
sile. The ABM problem is domi
nated by factors unrelated to the
treaty by reaction speed, mis
sile performance, traffic handling
capacity, and capacity for decoy
discrimination.
"A fuller understanding of the

menon which would result from
tests prohibited by the treaty
might at most permit some re
duction in the number of ABM
radars required per ABM site."
Thus, the secretary concluded,
"with or without a test ban, we
could proceed with the develop
ment of an ABM system."
Goldwater said that Kennedy's Itaige'ing and will offer a measure

recent atmospheric tests."
