The double ring marriage cere-i
mony of Carolyn Lee Ball and
Ray H. Shellhorn Jr. was an
event of July 14 at Kirst Presby
, lerian Church. The .1 p.m. serv
ice was officiated by the Rev.
Robert C. Groves before the al
itor which was backed with fern
.JSnd candelabra. White spider
-cnrysanthemums and fern
flanked the altar and the center
aisle was marked with white rope
and pew bows.

Soloist was Kurt Fiedler.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Everett R. Ball
and was given in marriage by
her father. Her gown was of em
broidered nvlon organza with el
bow length sleeves and tiny cov
ered buttons accenting the front
of the bodice. At back waist, a
how emphasized the fullness of
the loor length skirt which end
, ed in a chapel train. Handmade
Dior roses held the butterfly veil
,of nylon illusion. A corsage of
- white phaleanopsis orchids with
lace and ribbons centered the
- bridal bouquet of white roses.

The three bridal attendants
,,were dressed alike in short ice
green nylon organza frocks made
similarly to the bride's gown.
Their headpieces were Dior roses
of matching material with short
illusion veils. Each carried a cas
cade of white baby chrysanthe
mums with ivy and green rib
" bon streamers.
Malron of honor for her sister
was Mrs. Pete Sasstcdt. Brides
maids were Margerite Shellhorn,
Keno. sister of the bridegroom,
and Susan Hart.
The bridegroom is the son of

White roses and lily of the vallev
decorated the tables. The tiered
white cake was trimmed with
cream roses and topped with
white wedding bells. The pretty
confection was made bv the
bride's mother.
Mrs. Jess Crabtree and Mrs
Frank Sasstcdt served the wed
ding cake and Mrs. Chester
Hamakcr, the bridegroom's cake
Presiding at the coffee service
was Mrs. Peg Cochrane and at
the punch bowl, Mrs. Howard
Hanville. Mrs. Gean Puckett re
ceived gifts and Mrs. Gary Zum-
walt was in charge of the bride's
book.
The bridal pair left immediately
for a honeymoon trip to Reno,
Lake Tahoe and the coast. For
jgoing way the new Mrs. Shell-

and white gloves. She also wore!
the corsage from her bridal bou
quet. They are now at home at
3228 Shasta Way
Mrs. Shellhorn is a graduate of
Klamath Union High School and is
employed at Klamath Medical
Service Bureau as secretary. Her
husband, graduate of Henley
High School and Oregon Techni
cal Institute, is manager of the
body and fender department of
Thomas Dodge Company.
Special wedding guests were
the bride's grandmother, Mrs.
Lucy Ball, Portland, and Mrs.
John Hodson. Colorado Springs,
grandmother of the bridegroom.
Other out-of-town guests includ
ed Mr. and Mrs. Frank Zirkle and
family, Eatonville, Wash.; Kath

girl and the bridegroom's broth

For her daughter's wedding,
Mrs. Ball wore a gold silk sheath
with matching accessories and
white lace hat and gloves. A gold
orchid was pinned at her shoul
der. Mrs. Shellhorn wore a pea-
. cock blue organza sheath with
matching hat and black patent'
: accessories. Her corsage was a
i pale pink orchid.
Mrs. Glen Pape, Mr. and Mrs
Richard Cartner, Berkeley; Mrs.
Brant Long and daughter, Mrs
Howard Mayhew, Janet and Judy,
Portland; Mr. and Mrs. V. H.
Van, Salem.
Prior to her marriage the
bride was honored at several af
fairs. Mrs. Jess Crabtree enter
tained at a food shower and a
miscellaneous shower was hosted!
by Mrs. Pete Sasstedt and Mrs.
Frank Sasstcdt. Susan Hart and
Margerite Shellhorn were lunch
con hostesses at a shower at the
Willard Hotel.
Parents of the bridegroom were
hosts at the rehearsal dinner at
their home.

BRIDE-ELECT The engagement of Antoinette McKib
ban and Michael Keith Shunn is announced by her par
ents, Mr. and Mrs. John F. Parisotto, this city. The future
bride, graduate of Klamath Union High School, is study
ing medical X-ray technology at Oregon Technical In
stitute. Her fiance, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Shunn,
Vale, attended Eastern Oregon College and was gradu
ated from OTI. He is employed by Gunderson Engineer
ing Company in Portland. No wedding date has been
set.
AT THE RECEPTION Mr. and Mrs. Ray H. Shellhorn
Jr. cut the pretty wedding cake made and decorated by
the bride's mother, Mrs. Everett R. Ball. The reception
was held in the parlors of the First Presbyterian Church
where the young couple exchanged marriage vows.
