1 tablespoon salad oil
li teaspoon garlic powder
l'j teaspoons salt
Vi teaspoons chili powder
3 cans IB oz. eachi tomato
sauce
1 cup pitted ripe olives
Grated sharp American
cheese
Cook spaghetti as package di
rects. Cook beef and onion in oil
about 10 minutes, stirring fre
quently. Stir in garlic powder,
salt, chili powder, spaghetti, to
mato sauce and olives; cook
about five minutes. Sprinkle gen
erously with cheese. Bake in 400
degree hot oven five to 10 min
utes until cheese is melted.
Makes six servings.

Children's Barbecue
When mom and dad have plans
for dinner, treat the children to
their very own barbecue. No ex
tra fuss for mother, yet the little
ones will be delighted.
Picnics or extra-special meals
take no time at ail when the pan
try is stocked with canned bean
products. For example, take a can
of beans and franks in tomato
sauce from the shelf and you're
practically ready to serve. Chil
dren love beans and franks 9 ten
der little franks just waiting to
be eaten by all ages and sizes.
In the following recipe a frank
furter roll is almost a necessity!
For this frank and bean dog.
canned beans and franks are com
bined with green pepper, cheese,
and bacon all favorites with tile
small fry!
If the outdoor grill is not ready,
this sandwich tastes iu:.t as good
made in the kitchen. Whichever
way. the children will love it
and have a nutritious meal be
sides. A big mug of milk ... a
refreshing dish of oranges and Ba
nanas ... the picnic is complete!
FRANK AND BEAN DOG
2 slices bacon
U cup chopped green pepper
2 tablespoons chopped green
onion
Generous dash chili powder
1 can 1 poundi beans and
franks in tomato sauce
' cup shredded mild process
cheese
3 frankfurter rolls, split and
toasted
In saucepan, cook bacon until
crisp; remove and crumble. Pour
off all but 1 tablespoon drippings.
Cook green pepper and green on
ion in drippings until tender. Add
beans and franks and cheese.
Heat, stirring now and then. Serve
on rolls; garnish with bacon.
Makes 3 servings.
Note: If cooking on outdoor grill
prepare as above, using heavy
saucepan, on grill about 4 inches
above glowing coals. After adding
beans and franks and cheese, cov
er and heat, stirring now and
then. Last few minutes, toast rolls
on grill.
