With fall not too far in the future the Airmen's
Wives Club of Kingsley Field is stepping up plans for
the coming year. Under the direction of Service Club
Director Judy Taylor, projects are designed to be both
practical and fun to the many wives living in the city.
Club officers are pictured above, left to right,
Angela Hewitt, secretary; Betty Trumpower, vice presi
dent; Ann Dupree, president, and Ann Brown, treasurer.
Jean Bosma is membership chairman.
The club is presently conducting a membership
drive with a goal of 100 wives of airmen of the first
three grades. Two meetings a month are held in the
Service Club at Kingsley Field. The first Tuesday is a
business meeting and welcome tea for new members
and the third Tuesday, an evening social meeting with
special programs. Free nursery care is available by res
ervation and mothers with children under six months
are invited to bring them to the club for care during
the meetings. i
The welcome committee urges names of newcom
ers to be called to Jean Bosma, TU 2-6846, or Ann
Brown, TU 2-0667.
Airmen's wives have a recipe exchange program
with special cooking advice given when needed. At
right, Mary Ann Wilson reads recipe for Hachee which
is made by Dirkje (Jennie) Epperson, whose home is in
Amsterdam.

September brings a cake decorating course taught by Mrs.

may be brought to the service club.

created in simple home care of hair to meet

Another important plan of the wives club
it to meet needs of young mothers during hos
pitalization by caring for young children left in
the homes. At left, Ann Brown gets pointers from
Kathy Davidek who tends her two-month-old
daughter Deborah,
Other program plans for the fall season
are home color scheming and simple home dec
orating. A "Holiday Homes" course in November
features fastive ideas for the table, home and
door decorations for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
