The petition to tlie CAB was
sent by Public Utility Commis
sioner Jonel C. Hill and the State
Board of Aeronautics.
Tlie CAB order on West Coast's
operations was scheduled to go
into elfect next week, but the pc
t it ions from the state agencies
and several Oregon cities w ill de
lay its implementation.
Tlie petition filed by the state
agencies argues that the airline
has never instituted a usable com
muter service between Ontario.

expanding air mission, the U.S.

graduates direct enlistments for
aviation pilot training, according
lo an announcement made by Sfc
M. W. Bucss, local Army re
cruiter.
This is the latest addition to
Hie Army's "Choice Not Chance"
enlistment program which offers
young men and women Iheir
choice of hundreds of career op
portunitiesguaranteed in w riting
before they enlist.
Under the aviation option, high
school graduates may apply for
pilot training in helicopters or con
ventional aircraft and a commis
sion as a warrant officer, if they

of here on U.S. 50 and told him

scl, Columbus, Ind., was driving
by and saw Mrs. Brewer pull the
body out from under the car.
Kinscl stopped.
As he came up, he said, Mrs.
Brewer turned and fired two
more shots into her husband s
head then waved the gun at him
and threatened to kill him.
Kinsel fled and summoned au
thorities who arrested the woman
without resistance.
She told Lawrence County au
thorities that in the 18 years she
and her husband were married,
they never had any home lite.
She said her husband always
wanted to .wander.
"It's been building p in me
for a long time. I took it as long
as I could," she said.
