Vandalism
Investigated
By Police
City police are investigating
two acts of vandalism that oc
curred in the past three days,
oie at the First Federal Bank,
5fe Main Street, at 5:41 p.m.
SCnday, and the other at the
Wamath County Library, Mon
day at about 12:25 a.m.
IBank officials estimated $1,000
damage was caused when some
ope fired a rifle shot through the
bank window that also pierced a
cnrtain and entered the ceiling.
JCity police found an empty car
fridge outside the building and
du the bullet slug out of the
ceiling. A witness who saw the
shooting wrote down the license
number of the car as the vehicle
sped away. Polce Indicate there
is.a suspect in the case.
Betty Cote, county librarian,
told police tliree teen-age boys
pulled fixtures off the men's rest
room at the library Monday aft
ernoon. Mrs. Cote gave descrip
tions of the youths to the po
liy, but there are no suspects.
