GOLDENWEDS Mr. and Mrs. Neli Chamber! were
ored by their friends June 13 at their home in Sly.
occasion marked their 50th wedding anniversary.
Bly Couple Wed 50 Years
BLY A golden wedding an
niversary celebration was given
in honor of Ncls and Clarabelle
June 13.
A 50th wedding anniversary
plate and a money tree decorated
the table which held the two tier
white wedding cake.
The guest card was passed by
Mrs. Jcrold Dillavou. The cake
and coffee were served by Mrs.
Don Wesscl and Mrs. Herbert
Had ley.
Mr. and Mrs. Chambers were
married in Mooscjaw, Saskatch
ewan, Canada, on June 13, 1913,
where they resided (or 13 years.
They spent the next 25 years in
New York before moving to Bly
in 1931. Ncls Chambers retired
in 1959 after 10 years with the
Forest Service. The couple has
one daughter, Mrs, Tony Richter
of Coos Bay, and four grandchil
dren, Lonnic, Janice, Mike and
Lyle Richter.

Installation
The 32nd installation!
of officers for Prosperity Chapter, f,
Xo. JW) OES was conducted June
15, at the Malin Masonic Temple
The temple was decorated with
baskets of white snowballs, high
lighted with red satin hearts. The
large white heart hanging in the
cast revealed the worthy matron-
elect's motto. "Think Before You
Speak," in red lettering. On the
heart hanging in the west were
her watchwords, "Friendship,
Loyalty, and Love." Her colors
e red aiid white, her flower is
the pansy.
Hostesses and hosts were Helen
and Ivan Oltoman and Barbara
and Bob Victorin, Presiding at
the guest book was Mrs. Charles
Dobry Jr. Passing out programs
were Dana Ottoman and pally.
Evans.
Following the piano prelude by
Gladys Halousek, the Bible was
placed on the altar by Ronnie
Dobry.

bride of William Allen Calkins
She is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Charles C. Simon. Mr. and
Mrs. Ralph G. Calkins are par
ents of the bridegroom. Both fam
ilies reside in Mount Shasta.
Eddie Jean Simon, sister of the
bride, was maid of honor. Brides
maids were Barbara Hopping,
Piedmont, and Pat Reed, Port
land. Laura Lee Carlyon, Bakers
ield, was flower girl.
Best man for his brother was
Robert R. Calkins, Sacramento.
Ushers were Robert Simon and
Martin Muller.
After the reception in the par
ish hall, the new 1 weds left for a
tour of Southern California before
returning to Sacramento to re
side. Tile bridegroom, graduate
of College of the Siskiyous and
San Jose State College, is em
ployed as accountant for Aero
Jet Corporation in San Jose. The
bride is a graduate of Santa
Rosa Junior College in dental
technology.
OFF TO TUNISIA Jerry Smith and his sister, Lucien,
left this week for their birthplace, Tunis, and a visit with
their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph H. Smith. They were
accompanied by Mrs. Bessie Winterringer, pictured with
them. The children make their home during the school
months with Mrs, Winterringer's daughter, Mrs. Fred
Wolfrum, and family. The children's father, technical
engineer for the U.S. government, has been in Africa

Helen Ottoman and Gertrude
