Three Persons Hurt
In Traffic Crashes
Three persons received injuries
in two traflic accidents reported
hy city and state police Thurs
day. Injured were John M. Shirley.
3.1, 303 South Eighth Street, Nan
cy A. Groves. 30, 4406 Onyx
Street, and Roberta G. Warner.
4427 Denver Street.
Shirley received minor le and
hip injuries in a crash reported
by state police on U.S. 97 near
Sand Creek. The accident occurred
at 11:25 a.m. Wednesday as Shir
ley attempted to pass a truck
driven by John Houston, 3.V
Route 1, Box 610, as the truck
was turning into a service sta
tion. According to police reports.
Shirley's car collided with the
back of the truck as Shirley tried

with a vehicle driven by Shirley

Wednesday at 10:45 a.m. ,
Mrs. Groves complained of
knee and wrist pain and a pas
senger in her car. Roberta G.
Warner, 4427 Denver Avenue, re
ceived cuts and bruises on her
forehead. Neither woman was
hospitalized. Both vehicles re
ceived moderate damage and no
citations were issued.
According to city police reports,
both cars were traveling west on
the left-hand lane over the via
duct while city street crewmen
were working in the right-hand
lane spraying the street.
Water from the hose struck
Mrs. Hoffman through an open
window and she stopped her car.

The only way to cure her Is
to stop kidding and tell her what
she is doing. When she lands a
blow, belt her right back and

Last Friday I engaged the girl
from 7:30 p.m. until midnight.
My husband and I arrived home
about 11:30. She and her boy
friend were in the den and the
hi-fi was going full blast. They
were dancing.
Our 3-year-old had gotten out
of bed. pulled up a chair to the
bathroom medicine cabinet and
taken down several Iwttles of
pills. We could not learn whether
he had swallowed any pills, so we
rushed him to the hospital and
had his stomach pumped out.
Fortunately, the child is all
right. But had the girl nut had a
visitor she might have heard the
boy moving about upstairs.
