scoreboard on the Tournament of
Champions Rolf tournament today
and you could get a fantastic price
that Its departure went unnoticed.
This is a city where everything
is a matter of figures female en
tertainers, percentages and odds.
It was too tough a proposition for
the indoor scoreboard.
It had a nice spot, up there on
the stage behind tlie 120-foot bar.
But it might as well have been
on the moon. Because It received
as much attention from the crowds
around the dice tables as a mink
stole in Miami Beach.
Did C.ood Job
Tlie fellow attending the board
did a good job. Through the head
phone clamped over his ears he
received the scores from Ihe
course and then wrote them he
hind the players' names In nice,
neat, legible numerals.
But there were loo many figures
in front of him. Six, as a matter
of (act, belonging to an all girl
orchestra. How tlie guy could hear
was a mystery. Tie band played
good, or at least, good and loud.

He did, observing in parting
that lie liked the big blonde play
ing the violin.

been the most exhausting season

mark, Kurtenbach kept the puck
in Seattle ice by intercepting it
from defenseman Jim Hay. Then
he shot home the clincher after it
was set up by Larry McNabb and
Belisle.
