Eulalona Chapter, Daughters of
the American Revolution, met in
the First Presbyterian Church
parlors for the April meeting with
Children of the American Revo
lution as guests.
Refreshments were served by
Mrs. Guy Barton, Mrs. M. E.
Cooper, Mrs. James Barnes, Mrs.
Bernard Valk. Mrs. Charles Wa
ters, Mrs. H. A. Pedersen and
Mrs. C. E. Miller at the begin
ning of the meeting.

Book entertained the group with
two accordion duets.
Invocation was led by Mr?
Julian Ager: the Pledge of Alle
giance by Mrs. E. M. Chilcote
and the Star Spangled Banner by
Mrs. H. A. Pedersen.
CAR guests were introduced by
Mrs. Richard Baldwin, senior,
president.
Mrs. Tom Tcnnery introduced
the recipient of the annua! Good
CjJ'zen Award. Pam Bower, who,
with her mother, was also a guest
Mrs. Will Wood, regent, told of
the honors won at the state con
ference. Eulalona Chapter met
all requirements for a Gold Honor
Roll Award. Members attending
the conference were Mrs. Will
Wood, Mrs. E. M. Cltilcole and
,Mrs. Arch Proctor. Mrs. George
Paris, Portland, also represent
ed Eulalona Chapter.
Mrs. Wood gave Sccial recog
nition to Mrs. Bert C. Thomas
for sending books to national
headquarters in Washington, D.C.,
and to Mrs. Lloyd Ryser for
her work as registrar. Mrs. J.
Ward Doian was in charge of the
chapter scrapbook. These three
projects helped earn the award
honor.
Mrs. Dick Henzel, program
chairman, introduced Mrs. Phil
Brixncr who had prepared the pro
gram for the evening; a talk and
film on noted trees of the I'nited
States.

Joint Union High School in the banquet room of tha Sportsman's Hotel. Virginia
Lindsay was program chairman for the "Career Advancement" program. Ruth King
of the Harald and News spoka on "Newspapertng as a Career - for Woman." BPW
President Rosemary Myers greeted tha guests, BPW gives an annual scholarship to a
girl graduate. Entertainment was by two small accordionists, Diana Mauch, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Mauch, and Banney Tschirity, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul TschirSty.
