WASHINGTON (UP! I - Three
pickets from New York City
paraded in front of the White
House today with placards de-1
manding presidential support for
a campaign to put clothing on all
animals.
They said the first lady should
take the lead by putting clothes
on her horse when she goes riding.
The pickets, representing the
"Society for Indecent to Naked
Animals." drew laughs and smiles
from passersby. . The pickets in
sisted thev were on a serious mis
sion, however.
One placard said, "Mrs. Ken
nedy, won't you please clothe
your horses for decency." Another
"Mr. President, the indecency of
naked animals can be corrected
through new federal laws and
SINA."
The leader of the group was
Brute Spencer, 38, who said he
is a vice president of the SINA

being stressed by Klamath Coun-j
ty -H'ers this week as they ob-;
serve National 4-.H Club Week.
Over 300 members and 125 adult
volunteer leaders in Klamath
County are participating in the
coast-to-coast emphasis on 4-H ac
complishments and achievements
of the past year.
The 4-H program, a part of the
Cooperative Extension Service, is
free to youth 9 to 21 years old
ami is based on a four-fold emplia-i
sis of Head, Heart, Hands and;
Health.
4-H club members who complete

accomplishments. A 4-H awards
program exists on the county,
state and national level- to moti
vate self-improvement of the indi
vidual by providing satisfactions,;
