Mrs. G. L. Pendleton. Temple
City, sister of the bridegroom,
wore a jacketed afternoon frock of
pale blue and carried a bouquet
of carnations; She served as ma
tron of honor.

and younger relatives, Debbie
Anne Pendleton and Joseph W.
Tichennr, were ring bearers.
The Pev. Martin Schabackcr of
ficiated at the double ring cere
mony. Mrs. Schabackcr served
as organist.
The bride is (he daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. John Tichenor of
Torrance and parents of the
bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs.
Maxwell B. Hoar of Adelanto.
Close relatives of both the bride
and bridegroom came from South
ern" California to witness the
rites.
4 reception followed the cere
mony at Cedar Lodge where a
multi-tiered wedding cake was
served.

The Sacred Heart Music School
announces the opening of recital
season Sunday, Feb. 24 at 2 30
p.m. in the academy auditorium
on Ninth and Jefferson streets.
The public is welcome to attend
the five programs presented dur
ing the next three months,
Croup attractions on Sunday's
program are the Junior Cecilian
String Knsemble and a Sixth
Grade Chorus. Another highlight
is Walt Disney's "Sleeping Beau
ty" presented by eight little pian
ists, Shannon and James Byrnes,
Margaret Perry. Joan Bair. Pam
ela Doveri, Rosemary Novak. Deb-
ra Vandcnberg and Susan Cahoon.
The singing .parts arc done by
Bradley Mulvihill. Rosemary No
vak, June Klinglcr, Susan Crousc,
and Kathleen O'Ncil. The narra
tive and background music are
produced by Valerie Hodges and
Teresa Perry.
Other piano soloists in the re
cital are Pamela and Sharon
Freed, Linda Moore, Mary Kay
Perry, Carmen Ysana, Nancy
Easthurn, Susan McGinty and
Teresa Perry.
Students playing string instru
ments are Susan Randall, Patricia

HAPPY DAY It was Christmas on Feb. 5 for Donna
Crowe of Caslella when she returned home from a two
month stay in Shriners Hospital. Her parents, Mr, and
Mrs. Don Crowe, had kept her gifts and the family Christ
mas free waiting her arrival. Donna's best gift is the
bright hope that her recent surgery will fully correct
leg and hip defects which hav kept her in and out of
hospitals all of her I 3 years. .
