In the new nautical trend, Lucille
Poppins, above, fashioned her cordu
roy pants.
Many club meetings and- social
gatherings feature fashion shows as
entertainment, but none perhaps are
viewed with such interest as that
staged for the last meeting of Kingsley
Officers Wives' Club. At that time
guests saw street clothes, casual wear,
hostess garb and evening gowns, all
the handwork of members, who mod
eled them. Jean Nickerl was the com
mentator. I
Appropriate table decorations
were Barbie dolls, dressed in a variety
of costumes. Prizes were sewing notions.
Swedish meatballs in burgundy ,
and strawberry Bavarian was the de- .
lightful menu prepared by hostesses
Ann Buck, Parti Collum, Johnny Spaur,
Bev Freeman, Ann Tegaris and Mitch
Pflugh.
Above, dressed in a bright green
wool dress is Lois Appel. At right,
Carta Flamm wears an original coconut
brown burlap tunic trimmed with hand
woven braid over leotards.

Striking simplicity is the keynote of Jimmie
Snider's taupe brown satin floor length formal,
which she models in the picture above.
