Adenauer Asked To Explain
Plan To Revive Mart Talk

BONN. Germany (UPI) -The
opposition Socialists today readied
demands Chancellor Konrad Ad
enauer explain clearly how he
hopes to revive negotiations on
British entrance into the Common
Market.
Social Democratic party leader
Erich Ollenhauer was prepared
to make the demands in debate
on Adenauer's foreign policy state
ment Wednesday.
The Socialists want Adenauer to
tell whether he is ready to ask
French President Charles de
Gaulle to ease up on his stand
against British entry and how he
intends to get the talks going
aeain.
Adenauer told Parliament Vied
nesday West Germany wants con
tinued close ties with Washington
welcomes reconciliation witn
France, wants Britain in the Con
mon Market and supports the cre
ation of a North Atlantic Treaty
Organization (NATO) multi-lateral
nuclear deterrent.
