graduated from Klamath Union

bachelors degree from Pacific

three years at Neahkahnie High
.School in Rockaway. Ore., and
joined the faculty at Pacific Uni
versity last year. While teaching
choir and band. Grigshy is also
working on his masters degree
in music.

churches and schools of Southern
Oregon and Northern California.
The group is under the direction
of D. Deane Hutchison, professor
of organ and choral organizations
at the university and Minister of

need their father. And, frankly,
I need a husband. I'm no pood
alone. For the past six years my
husband has been having an af
fair with my best friend, an at
tractive widow. To put it bluntly,
I'm sorrier for her than I am for
myself. She's throwing her life
away on a man who will never
marry her.
So. let this letter serve as an
open reply to those women who
mailed me your column. After
weighing and measuring, meditat
ing and soul-searching I've decid
ed to live my life as I think
best for me and my children.

band." Here's my story:
During . years of marriage
I never glanced sideways that
is. until a new executive joined
my husband's firm. He was hand
some, fascinating, sophisticated
and I was smitten like a school
girl. That look in his eye let me
know he was reading me. and
the return was "yes."
The way to "get acquainted."
I stratrgized. was to invite him
and his wife for dinner. She and
I would become friends the same
old story. The stage was set.
One look at his Mrs. chilled mv
ardor instantlv. Thev arrived
The gentleman has never looked
good to me since that night. So,
perhaps, it's not such a bad idea

tain" spoke one of those frank
truths which everyone knows in
his heart of hearts, but you never
expect to see it in print.
After 18 years of marriage, my
wife confessed she was having
an affair with of all people
her hest friend's husband. No.
she didn't want a divorce. And
neither did he. There were six
children involved. Would I stand
by until the fire burned itself
out? 1 told her, "Ses, I would
try."
The next day I telephoned the
other man's wife and invited her
to my office for a chat. She had
known instinct, she called it. and
was pretending not to see. I ad
mired her character and her
courage. And I noticed for the first
time how terribly attractive she
was.
Vou .guessed it. We've been
comforting each other ever since,
and I hope my wife never gets
tired of the other guy. NOT

ask for advice, so 1 won't give
you any. In five words, however
you all dpserve each other.

Falls has shown little warmth
toward the sister city idea.
The clipping said, "Rotorua is
having little success in establish
ing sister city affiliation with
Klamath Falls, Ore., in the Unit

The item went on to explain that
Rotorua had been doing all the
pushing thus far in the sister
city exchange.

Avenue, which was stopped for a
delivery at an Oregon Avenue
grocery store, rolled down a slight
incline, crossed the avenue and
slammed into the porch of a
home with such force that it buc
kled the kitchen floor linoleum in
the rear of the house.
The occupant, Mrs. Wanda Ham
mer, 1S12 Oregon Avenue, said
she saw the vehicle coming from
her living room window about
9:3Q a.m. Tuesday and ran back
into the kitchen to wait for the
crash.
The force of the crash jarred
the porch loose from the house.
Harshbarger was cited by city po
lice for having his truck insecure
ly parked.

to Rotorua as the official Klam
ath Falls representatives.
Mrs. Olive Cornett returned
home recently from a trip which
included some time spent al
Rotorua. Also, sister city week
was held recently, and films of
this New Zealand city shown to
the public.
In addition, it is reported that
students at Fremont are cor
responding with comparable stu
dents in New Zealand.
From this end. it would appear
that all is moving well toward
cementing ties between these two
widely-separated communities.
Cliff McDonald. Rotorua repre
sentative, is still here on his
good-wilt mission, and has even
taken time out to leach some
grade school students how to do
New Zealand dances.

morning fire winch swept through
the two-story frame home of Mr.
and Mrs. Harley Spencer liere to
day.
Killed were three Spencer chil
dren, Debbie. 8: Scott. 7, and
Steve, 5, and a neighbor girl.
