The 80th birthday of Ernest M. Bubb, lonqtime Klam
ath County and Klamath Palls businessman before his re
tirement, was the incentive for a party hosted by Mrs. Bubb
and their two daughters, Mrs. Robert Payne and Mrs. Rob
ert Mainhardt. The delightful affair attended by the Bubb's
many friends was held Jan. 6 in the Pelican Party Room.
Guests were greeted by the family, pictured at right.
Mr. and Mrs. Bubb, center, are flanked by their daughters,
Janice and her husband, Robert Mainhardt, Diablo, Calif.,
left, and Virginia and her husband, Dr. Robert Payne, this
city, right.

At right, Mrs. Margaret Payne, left, mother of Dr.
Payne, who came from her home in Ontario, Ore., for the
affair, is pictured with Mr, and Mrs. Bubb.
Below, coffee and cake were served from a long
table centered with a birthday cake and single candle. Mrs.
Dean Osborn, seated at the table, chats with Bill Milne and
Mrs. Wesley Guderian.
Others presiding at Hie coffee urns during the 3 'Til
b o'clock party hours were Mrs. Guy Merrill, Mrs. Charles
Martin, Mrs. Harold Campbell, Mrs. Mae Anderson, Mrs.
Maude Hosley, Mrs. James Hilton, Mrs. Carl Hagel, Mrs.
Jack Insley and Roberta Blomquist.
