RETURNING to Portland is the R. P. (Dick) Laudenschlager family, which has resided in this city the
past three years while he was manager of the Bank of Klamath Falls. On Feb. 27 he became affiliated with the
; Security Bank of Oregon in Portland, the family's former home. He will be joined in the near future by his wife
and daughter, Gretchen, 7, student at Sacred Heart Academy, and Mrs. Laudenschlager's mother, Mrs. Cath
erine Harshman, who .makes her home with them.'Both the Laudenschlagers were active in affairs of Sacred
Heart Church. He also served on the board of directors of United,' Fund, Kiwanis Club and Chamber of Com-
merce. . i "
A CALL to the pastorate of fhe First Baptist-Church brought the Rev. and Mrs. Mack P. Jones to Klam
ath Falls from Eugene where they had resided for four years. Both are natives of Mississippi. He was graduated
from Mississippi College in Clinton and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Mrs. Jones is a graduate of
Mississippi Southern College, Hattiesburg, and worked toward a masters degree at the New Orleans seminary.
An accomplished musician and honor student, she was elected to the Who's Who in American Colleges and Uni
versities. The couple were both very active in church and musical circles In Eugene..
' RETURNING to this city after three and a haff years is the family of the Revv Sties H. Jones, who is
the permanent pastor of the new Victory Temple, 1 909 Homedale Road. Mrs. Catherine Jones assists her husband
with services as a pianist and soloist. The Joneses have two sons, Robert H., 17, a senior at Klamath .Union High
School, and Gary Lynn, 5'2. The older boy plays trombone at many church services. "
NEW PASTOR of Hope Lutheran Church is the Rev. Warren W. Pechman, who assumed his position
Feb. I. He and his wife and three daughters, Marsha, 1 0, Becky, 6, and Nancy, 3, have resided the past six years
in Salem. Pastor Pechman, native of Colorado, attended Denver University and Oberlin College and was grad
uated from Doane College of Crete, Neb., and Central Lutheran Seminary, Fremont, Neb. While serving at Trin
ity Lutheran Church of Appleton, Wis., he met and married his wife, Adeline.
NEWCOMERS to Klamath Falls last fall were Pastor and Mrs. Kenneth H. McVay and their family. He
serves as minister of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Their family includes Bill, student at Columbia Academy
near Portland; Jeanne, who attends the Adventist School here, and John, pre-school age. The McVays are from
Spokane and attended Walla Walla College where he was graduated with a major in biblical languages. Mrs.
McVay often serves as church pianist and assists with the lower grades in Sabbath School. The family resides at
2903 South Patterson Street.
