Audio-Visual Conference at t h e
University of Portland on Mon
day and Tuesday. Practically all
of both private and public col
leges and universities were rep
resented there. If you want to
know anything about motivational
research and audio-visual materi
als, ask Hallard. Considerable
time was spent on school building
planning for the use of new tech
niques and teaching machines.

Larry Seal, a 1960 graduate in
Welding, has an important posi
tion with Wa Chang Metallurgical
Corporation which produces rare
and exotic metals at Albany. The
corporation is presently geared
to the production of hafnium con
trol rods to be used in atomic
reactors. He has the final inspec
tion responsibilities in the inspec
tion department to see that these
rods meet the required specifica
tions. Not only Larry's training
in welding, but that acquired in
the industrial lab. radiographic
lab, and the physics and other!
science courses, have contributed
to his qualifications for holding
the position. He was recently sel
ected to go to New Jersey to it
tend a school to learn to test the

Prisoners lay their hands on

them until their release
But one thing is sure: Nary a
sole within the penitentiary is get
ting any rocking chair money.
That's one of the first things
they check,

signed for use by surveyors anil
engineers. Local surveyors and
