By Inited Press International
Jackie Jensen is officially back

Hie question is whether he II pay
the same physical penalty "for his
self-imnosed one-year exile that
Cincinnati's famed Ed Rousb did
Jensen, who reined alter tne
1959 season, received an esiimai
ed $35,000 to $40,000 in his 1961
pact which was announced Tues
day by the Red Sox. The Sox
added that he has been working
out daily at both squash and bad
minton at his Nevada home and
savs that he will be in good physi
cal condition when the team he-
gins spring training at Scoltsdale,
Ariz., late this month.
The big question with the Red
Sox, however, is whether Jensen
can recover the form that enabled
him to w in the American League's
most valuable player award in
1958 and to bat .277 with 28 hom
ers and 112 runs batted in in 1959.
