3-Day Meeting
In California
Jehovah's Witnesses concluded
their three-day convention with i
peak attendance of 1,526, including
51 newly ordained ministers at 6
p.m. Sunday at the Municipal Aud

Lester M. Dugan, district su

Note pads, pencils and Bible;
were much in evidence throughout
the seminar as the delegates from
the congregations of Jehovah s
Witnesses represented took notes
on field ministry points which
they will now put into practice
in their home congregations.
Eureka's largest convention was,,
hailed as a complete success by
attending delegates. George Hric-

minister, felt that "the spacious
facilities at the Municipal Audi

success of the assembly."

growing out of the Pilgrim set

been representative of "Free
Church Protestantism" in thisl

Riegations. Like the Christian
Church with which it merged in
1931, its beginnings go back to
early English speaking settlers in
America. The Evangelical and
the Reformed fellowships were
derived from German and Scandi

and were "governed from the
top" by a synodical type of or

those of many denominations who
urge unity among Christian
churches.
