Ore Veins
OREGON STATE COLLEGE
An Oregon Stole College geologist
has received a $23,000 giant from
the National Science Foundation
for a unique three-year study on
distribution of ore in mine veins.
High speed data processing ma
chines will play a supporting role
in the study.
The findings will be valuable in
predicting anticipated ore depos
its and distribution in mines. Such
information is almost nonexistent
now.
Project leader is Dr. Georpe
S. Koch Jr., ecology department.
