A CLASS in Advanced Biology is shown at work. Those students planning to become
doctors, nurses, dentists, laboratory technicians, biochemists, veterinarians or other
related fields find Advanced Biology especially helpful. Students are encouraged to de
velop individual projects. Doctors and other specialists are called upon to talk to the
classes in their specialized fields. During the year physiology and anatomy are stressed
as small animals are dissected. Bacteriology, genetics, embryology and endocrinology
re also studied,
THESE STUDENTS are working on designed layout projects in the advanced com
mercial art class taught by Howard Hall. Left to right, they are Jimmy Ison, Bob Myers,
Janice Parr and Judy Paddock. The art program at KUHS offers five different courses
for the elective student. Those students who wish to major in art may follow a full
four-year program. Special courses in commercial art are offered second ano! third
year students who wish to specialize. Instruction within the art department is geared
as much to the individual student needs as possible. There are 12 periods of art and
two instructors, Howard Hall and Lyle Maloush.
