Pioneers Plan
Organization
ROSEBL'RG (AP) The 30
persons who helped to publicize
Oregon's Centennial by making a
covered wagon journey from In
dependence, Mo., to Independ
ence, Ore., are going to organize
a permanent corporation.
They will meet here Sunday to
form the On-To-Oregon Caval
cade. It will be their first net
together since completion of their
2,050-mile trip last August.
They own nine acres near In-
rieoendence, Ore. They plan to
develop the land into a public
park with a museum in which
thev would display historial
items they acquired on last sum
mer's journey.

ily potluck dinner to be followed
by a short program Sunday eve

the evening is Africa. The din
ner is scheduled for 6 o'clock.

tian Service is, in charge of the
evening. Decorations are being
made by girls of the fourth, fifth
and sixth grades under the direc
tion of Donna Robinson. A time
of group singing is planned and
later a discussion on Africa for
the adults and some African
games are planned for the young
people.
Mrs. F. D. Wilder is general
chairman and announces that the
Rev. D. L. Brown will give a very
short talk on mission work in Af
rica at the close of the program.

Plans Formulated
For X-ray Tests
Preliminary plans for a chest
X-ray survey in Klamath County
this year, starting the latter part
of April and extending through
June, were made this week when
personnel of the county health de
partment and of the tuberculosis
and health association met with
Max W. Bradcn of Portland, health
education consultant from the state
board of health.
Another meeting was set for
March 15 when representatives will
be invited to attend from other
communities, service clubs and
various organizations.
At this time, the schedule of the
X-ray mobile unit will be dis
cussed, and plans made for ob
taining volunteers to assist at each
location. Place of this meeting
will be announced later.
