ing and advanced tailoring classes conducted under the adult education program of

Christmas Party
HORNBROOK The home of Mrs.
Edward Smith was the setting for
a festive Yule party recently. It
was attended by members of the
Hombrook Contract and Henley
Bridge clubs. Mrs. Grace Quigley
nharod hostess duties with M
Smith.
Prior to the afternoon play, the
hostesses served a luncheon.
Prizes were won as follows
Mrs. Lester Nye, high; Mrs. Dwain
Hamner, second prize, and Mrs
Frank Ohlund, low. Mrs. Ivon
Howard who won the traveling
prize, also received a gift from the
. two clubs on the occasion of her
golden wedding anniversary.

reunion and dinner on Christmas
Day. at the Facey home in Old
Ktna. Enjoying the event were Mrs.

and Mrs. Wilbur Facey, Fort Jones,
Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Facey and
family. Callahan, Mr. and Mrs.

ely, attended by 65 of its mem
bers.
A brief business session prior to
the entertainment was opened with
prayer by Father Sullivan. Nadine
Silva, secretary, reported that the
December 5 food sale had netted
$84.

tributed the gifts.

the evening was spent in playing
games.
HOME ON LEAVE
LANGELL VALLEY - Mr. and
Mrs. Kcrmit Kcysor gave a party
at their home December 30 for
George Orton who was home on
leave from Fort Ord. He was vis
iting his parents. Mr. and Mrs
Ralph Orton ot Langcll Valley,
and left January 2 for Fort Ord
Fifteen young people attended and
enjoyed an evening of games and
refreshments served later. Adults
attending were Mr. and Mrs. Or
ton and the Rev. and Mrs. Eu
gene Willis.

Christmas party at the Methodist
Church of the Cecile Harris Cir
cle of the Woman's Society of
Christian Service was held De
cember 17. The Doxology was sung
by the group before the potluck
dinner.
Following, Silent Night was
sung by all, and "Letter to an
Inn Keeper" from Together maga
zine was read by Mrs. Dorothy
Grune. "Happy Birthday to the
King" from The Methodist Wom
an magazine was read by Mrs
Sadie Buckncr, spiritual life lead
er.
Cleo Kopf passed out gifts from
the decorated tree and secret pals
were revealed ana new names
drawn for I960.
Members present were Mrs,
Maude Short, Mrs. Beryl Sheffield
Mrs. Cleo Kopf, Mrs. Kate Berth-
elsen, Mrs. Lottie Ball, Mrs. Ma-
zie McFall, Mrs. Sadie Buckncr,
Mrs. Maude Buker, Mrs. Callie
Gordon, Mrs. Mary Hammer, Mrs

Grune, Mrs. Ruth Hughes and

to some family in need.

A letter from Grand Lodge in
regard to Heart Sunday in Feb
ruary was read. Christmas greet
ings from President Helen McFar-
lane of Rebekah Assembly of the
Independent Order of Odd Fellows
of California was also read.
A donation was made to the Odd
Fellow Christmas Fund for the Old
Folks home at Saratoga. A thank
you card from Louisa Frietag and
Christmas greetings from District
Deputy President Juanita Evans
was received1.
A Christmas party was held in
the banquet hall following the
meeting.
Refreshments were served and
the birthdays of Dorice Young and
Minerva Mattison were celebrated.
Family Reunion
In Mount Shasta
MeCLOUD Sixty two persons at
tended the Baldini-Regnani family
reunion and Christmas party held
at Howe Hall in Mount Shasta De
cember 19. Mr. and Mrs. Otto
Miller, formerly of McCloud, were
hosts.
Mr. and Mrs. Tony B.ildini and
family of Grants Pass traveled
the greatest distance to attend the
affair. Only members of the fam
ily unable to be present were
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Rcgnani and
family of Santa Rosa and Paul
Rcgnani of Tahoc.
The former Mrs. George Baldini
now Mrs. Olio Miller, was the eld
est person attending. Kerri Ann
and Ronnie Zalunardo of McCloud
were the youngest great grandchil
drcn there. Rhonda Short and Su
sic Baldini were the youngest
grandchildren.
Those attending from McCloud
were Mr. and Mrs. Bob Fiora and
family, Mr. and Mrs. Angelo No-
bili and family, Mr. and Mrs. An

AUXILIARY PARTY
MERRILL The annual Christ
mas party, of the Merrill VFW
Auxiliary was held at the VFW
Hall on Wednesday evening, De
cc-mber 16. A dinner was served
to a large number of auxiliary
members prior to a program of
games and gift exchange.
The dinner committee included
