TWENTY FIVE YEARS of marriage was celebrated on Saturday, December 5, by
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Dragoo of Merrill. They are pictured cutting a beautifully decorated
cake which was served at the no host dinner given for them by friends at Sari's. They
were also presented a lovely wall clock during the evening. The Dragoos were married
December 5, 1934, at McCloud and moved to Klamath Falls in 1936 where he was asso
ciated with Southern Oregon Hardware and Swan Lake Moulding Company. In 1945
they moved to Merrill and he became part owner and manager of the Merrill Lumber
Company. They have one daughter, Donna Marie, a junior at Lewis and Clark College.

nual Christmas party of the American Association of University Women to be held De

MRS. JOHN E. MINKLER, left, of Sedro Woolley,
Washington, mother of Mrs. William L. Whytal, visited here
ever the Thanksgiving holidays and left December 5 to visit
ether children in California. Mrs. Minkler was born in Eng
land 80 years ago and came to the United States by sailing
ihip when five years of age. Mrs, Minkler and ner late
husband were pioneer settlers in the Skagit Valley of Wash
ington where he operated one of the first lumber mills. Mrs.
Minkler is pictured with her granddaughters, Suana, center,
and Linda Whytal, both students at Fairview School. The
picture on the wall is a pastel by Linda when she was in the
second grade. Mrs. Minkler plans to return to Klamath Falls

DELORES DALMER, left, bride-elect of William Gene
Vallier, was honored at a bridal shower at the home of Mrs.
Erie Hamilton, 226 North Third Street, on December 2.
Guests were members of the TNT bridge club. A bridal
couple, flanked by lighted tapers in candelabra, was the
centerpiece for the beautifully appointed table. Pictured

GAY HOLIDAY decorations brought smiles to the
faces of Quota Club members who met on Tuesday, De
cember 8, for their annual Christmas party in the Camas
Room ef the Winema Hotel. Pine cone wreaths centered
with red vigil lights and evergreen boughs decoreted the
tables where individual places were marked with yarn
