She Gets Paid For Listening To Other's Woes

Scott gels paid for listening to
other people tell of their troubles.
She calls herself a "professional
listener." She has no particular
training for her work and doesn't
try to assume the role of psychia
trist or psychologist.
"If you're like a lot of people,
you have problems you can't dis
cuss with your friends and you
feel the need of some one who is
interested, but not personally in
terested," Mrs. Scott says.
"You need to talk it out. I'll
listen." ., . ,.
She offers no advice -i- "People
don't want it. They want to be
able to think it through for them
selves. You've got to do that;
"By talking out our problems
the answers just seem to conic to

LADIES AID PLAN DINNER
ETNA A nroiressive dinner has
been planned for Tuesday. Novem
ber 17, by the Ladies Aia society
of the Congregational Church. The
group will gather at 11:30 a.m. at
the church and will go to the ranch
home of Gladys Haydcn where
thev will be served a first course
The second course will be served
by Jane Arbuckle and the main
course will be served at the church
by Jeanette Clay. The dinner will
be completed with Olive Krueger
serving the dessert at her home.
