MAYING THE GRADE
WASHINGTON (LTD - Federal
grades for beef have stimulated
price competition, held down the
costs of marketing and contributed i
to changes in the organization
of the wholesale meat industry,
reports the Department of Agricul

wholesale distributors, and inde
pendent retailers, as well as
chains, favor either the present
voluntary 'system of beef-grading

Family Laundresses
...at your service!
Sometimes I hear people say the family
laundress has disappeared. They just haven't
looked far enough.
Here at Cascade we have forty family laun
dresses. They're the same skillful people who
used to do the family wash at home. While their
methods are somewhat different, they use the
same thoughtful care. .
Your clothes come out cleaner and whiter
than was possible by the most back-breoking
scrubbing in grondma's day. The secret is gentle
action ond lots of soap and water. Five sudsings
and six rinsings ore used at Cascade.
Cascade laundresses are proud of the pro
fessional finish they giveto your things. And
so will you be.
Our prices will please you, too. For ex
ample, five sheets finished to snow-white per
fection, just 75 cents.
