ed summer water shortage in the
Columbia Basin has not material
ized, the Department of Interior
said Saturday.
The Columbia streamflow at The
Dalles during July was 132 per
cent of the 15-year July average.
In eight major power reser
voirs, water storage was more
than four million acre feet above
the season average for the past
10 years during July.
Storage in 20 large irrigation
reservoirs was well above the
seasonal average, bu 402,000 acre
feet less than a year ago.
