Janice Joanne Smith became the
bride of Edwin B. Keady in a cere
mony on June 28 in Missionary
Baptist Church. Elder J. L. Wis
dom performed the service before
an altar decorated with baskets of
pink and white gladioli.
Marsha Griggs, pianist, ac
companied the soloist, Mrs. Dick
Melick.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Dearl Smith. The
bridegroom ii the son of Mrs.
Eli South.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore a gown of white
lace over taffeta made by Mrs.
Dick Melick. A jacket of lace made
with stand up collar and long point
ed sleeves was worn over the
princess style gown which featured
pleated back panel. The short
eil of lace was made by the
bride. She carried a white Bible
centered with white gladioli.

Immediately following the cere
mony a reception was held in the
church parlors. The pink and white
color scheme was carried out on
the table where a four tiered wed
ding cake was placed between two
small heart shaped ones. The wed
ding cake was made by the bride's
mother and Mrs. Elmer Edwards
and was decorated by Mrs. Joe
Ivie. Mrs. Elmer Edwards served
the cake and Mrs. J. L. Wisdom
poured punch. Mrs. Leonard Pres
ton, sisier ot me Bridegroom, pre
sided at the coffee service. Shar
on Boyd, the bridegroom's cousin,
was in charge of the guest book.
Mrs. James Hunt and her daugh
ter, Vickie Lynn, attended the gift
table.
For traveling the new Mrs. Rea
dy chose a navy blue sheatb dress
with white accessories. The couple
are at home in Ashland where the
bridegroom will attend Southern
Oregon College this fall. Both are
graduates of Klamath Union High
School.
Out-of-town guests were Mr. and
Mrs. Dorsey Clark, Rockville,
Maryland: Mr. and Mrs. James
Boyd and family, Cottonwood; Mr.
and Mrs. Leonard Preston and
family, Feather Falls; Mr. and
Mrs. Pharris Hughcy, Eugene.
The bride was honored at two
showers prior to her marriage. One
was given by the Missionary Bap
tist Church and another by Peace
Memorial Church.

nic, held this year as usual at

Goresbeck in Los Gatos on July
26.

Klamath Falls, and the late Mari
on Valentine, were united in mar
riage at a 1:30 p.m. ceremony on
Saturday, July 111, at the ranch
home of the bride's parents.
The Rev. Donald L. Brown of the
Chiloquin Methodist Church, con
ducted the ceremony in the pres
ence of 40 guests.
Large beauty baskets of pink
and white gladioli and tall pink
tapers in candelabra, arranged by
the fireplace, provided a back
ground for the service.
The bride, given in marriage by
her father, wore a white two piece
knit suit with white accessories.
The bridal bouquet, oval shaped
of white carnations and centered
with pink rosebuds, was carried
over a white Bible. Her head piece
was of white carnations. The tra
ditional touches were a blue gar
ter borrowed from Mrs. Richard
Siemens, a penny in her shoe and
a single strand pearl necklace
which was a gift from the bride
groom. The lace edged handker
chief she carried belongs to her
maternal grandmother, Mrs. F. A.
Worley.
Maid of honor was Claudia Heg-
lund who wore blue and white with
a pink carnation headpiece and
a corsage of white shattered car
nations and pink rosebuds. ,
Derrald Wise, Klamath Falls,
was best man.
For her daughter's wedding. Mrs.

Collins wore a biege summer dress
with navy blue accessories. Mrs.
Pade chose a pale pink summer
frock with deep rose accessories
and a white feathered hat. Both
had corsages of pink and while

At the reception following the
ceremony, Charlynn O'Neill served
a white three-tiered wedding cake
lopped with a miniature bride and
bridegroom and decorated with
pink rosebuds. Mrs. Richard Sie
mens served punch and Bette Win
kle poured coltee. Leslie Leake
handled the guest book and was
in charge of the gift table. All the
assistants were school friends of
the bride.
The. floral arrangements, head
pieces and corsages were made
by the bride's aunt, Mrs. George
Jones.
The young couple is at home in
Bly after taking a wedding trip
to the coast.

Mrs. Robert Valentine, Mr. and
Mrs. Kenneth Blown, Mr. and

nuptial shower given July 9 at the
Masonic Hall with Mrs. Robert
Doak, Mrs. Elmer Heglund, Mrs.
Albert Bricco, Mrs. Wayne Nie
haus, Mrs. Richard Siemens, Les
lie Leake, Bette Winkle and
Claudia Heglund as hostesses. Dec
orations were heart-shaped with
the words Dee and Meta. Assisting
the honoree with the gift opening
were her mother, Mrs. Wayne Col
lins, the mother of her fiancee
