MEXICAN FIESTA in true souih of the border style is planned by Reames Women's
Auxiliary as their annual party on August 8. A Mexican setting provides the proper atmos
sphere for a part of the committee as they make large colorful hibiscus for decorations.

At this meeting an election will
be held to fill the position of lec
turer, left vacant by the resigna
tion of Mary Egan who will leach
next year in Seattle.
Mrs. Francis Paradis and her
committee served refreshments.
The annual CDA-KC picnic was
held July 19 at Malin Park with a
large attendance. The special
prize was won by Mrs. Pat Mi
lam. Mrs. uorolny Zweiner was
picnic chairman.
A regular meeting was held in
June and a special executive and
committee chairmen meeting was
called on June 22. The court budg
et was prepared at this time.

Two Celebrate
Silver Wedding
ALTURAS Mr. and Mrs. Del-
bert Fitzpatrick were feted with
a silver wedding anniversary par
ty Sunday evening, July 12, given
by Mr. and Mrs. Bayley Dor
ris, Dr. and Mrs. Ed Conwell, Mr.
and Mrs. Charles Lederer and Mr.
and Mrs. Francis Ballard.
The evening festivities began
with cocktails in the patio of the
Dorris ranch home near Alturas.
The guests later went to the Bal
lard home in Alturas where ta
bles were arranged on the spacious
lawn for more than 70 friends of
the honored couple. Dinner was
served from a large buffet table.
The honored couple cut and
served a four tiered wedding cake
after which they were presented
with a silver chest filled with shin
ing silver dollars.
Mrs. Fitzpatrick wore an attrac
tive garden dress which she wore
for her garden wrVing in 1934.

ner of Washington.
