Typical of the many fathrt honored today It
John P. Karnt, member of a family prominent in Klam
ath County since 1910.
A beautiful ranch on the Ken Highway h hem
to the Kem$ family and many hour forfe and pleas
ure are shared there by John Kerns, his wife and their
two sons. He has farmed in this location since his
graduation from Oregon State College in 1940,
His active participation in church, farm and;
school organizations and as a 4-H club leader made
John Kerns the recent choice of the Klamath Cow
Belles as Klamath County Father of the Year.
Pictured above, left to right, are Karl, 1 3, Joe,
14, John Kerns and his father, J. W. Kerns Sr., who
lives nearby. Champ, part Boxer and German Shep
herd, is a devoted companion to the Kerns menfolfe
on fishing and hunting trips and around the ranch.
In the lower picture, Karl and Joe, with their
mother, male plans to celebrate this Fathers Day,
