Mothers Day
Exhibit Set
A last art exhibit at the old art
center in Mountain View Housing
Will be held on Sunday. Mav 10.
AH persons interested in art are
cordially invited to attend. This
will be a showing of work of mem
bers of the Klamath Art Associa
tion, and it will include weaving,
jewelry and other crafts as well
as drawing and painting.
An extra added feature will be
architect's drawings for the pro
posed new art gallery to be locat
ed in Maple Park this summer.
Members will be on hand to give
out the latest progress reports on
the gallery project, and to answer
questions asked by people who have
shown widespread interest in the
new building.
Those who are exhibiting work
are asked to have it in the build
ing Thursday evening, May 7, when
the weavers guild will meet, if
possible. The very latest time
work may be accepted for exhibi
tion is by noon on May 9. The
building will be open or exhibit
trom 2 until 5 p.m.

DIES IN FREAK MISHAP
SAN SEBASTIAN, Spain (UPI)
Juan Cortina, 47, a free lance
photographer, was electrocuted in
a freak accident Monday while
taking pictures below a high ten
sion wire on a nearby mountain.
Authorities said be was killed
when his camera flashgun fired
and made an arc with the high
tension wire.

The new owners of the establish
ment are Mrs. Helen Brink and her
partner, Larry Wolter. Mrs. Brink
and wolter own The Pines Tavern
in Klamath Falls. The property was
purchased from the estate of the
late Rollo (Pop) England early in
April.
The hotel has 17 rooms but no
No. 13. It has a small lobby up.
stairs. The dining room is quite
spacious, and can accommodate
large groups at a time. The lam
ily atmosphere in the dining room
affords a pleasant surrounding for
the family outing.
