RAND NEW ITEMS (or the small fry are being introduced by Gerber's whose slogan is
"Babies are our business . . . our only business." Shown in the above display are Gerber's
cookies (with added protein) for toddlers; both unior and strained cottage cheese with
pineapple, junior chicken and strained dinner of beef and egg noodles with vegetables.
BABY BUSINESS
Feeding the hahy and junior ha
become a simpler matter for moth
er with the introduction of a wide
variety of foods in convenient
small containers made from for
mulas especially for the tender
ages.
A highly intriguing item is the
new packaged Gerber cookies for
the toddlers. They are vitamin
enriched and provide twice as
much protein as the average of
ordinary cookies. A thin icing glaze
coats each cooky and it is en
riched with important B-vitamins.
Applied after the baking, none of
the vitamins are lost during the
cooking process.
The cookies are perfect as i
dessert addition to any Gerher jun
ior fruit or pudding, with ice
cream or as a snack with or with
out Gerber juices. Almost as solid
ss hardtack, they give comfort to
the teething age and satisfy the

nutritive value.
The new cans of cottage cheese j
and pineapple come as strained
cottage cheese food and also for'
the junior eaters in the family.
This is a new item brought out
because cottage cheese is a favor-:
ite lood in baby feeding. The
product is processed and steril
ized for good keeping and is a new
type of main dish food for the
babies and juniors. Its nutritional
value is similar to Gerber's high
meat dinners in total content of
high quality animal protein.
With the new strained beef and
egg noodles with vegetables, baby
can hcue a casserole type food
containing high vitamin A value
and significant amounts of niacin.
