Benefit Dinner
Planned By Club
YREKA Plant for a progres

benefit of the new community cen
ter In Yreka. were discussed by
members of the Yreka Business
and Professional Women's Club
recently.
A tentative date of Sunday.
April 5. was set for the dinner,
which will open at the home of Mrs.
Evelyn Nolan for the social hour.
The salad course will be served
at the home of Mrs. Jeanette
Flower, who will be assisted by
Marj LaFever. Grace Osborne and
Betty Dow.
The committee to work on the;
main course of spaghetti and meat ;
balls will include Muriel Ling.
Dorothy Kitto, Merlyn Albert, j
Pearl Ling. Ora Jackson and Helen j
Foulke. Mrs LaJean Correia and
Stella Bennett will head the dis
sert course.
The committees will meet at 7:30
p m. on March 23 at the next
meeting of the club

cessories were shown during a
style show held at a regular meet
ing of the Merrill Library Club on
Thursday. March 5 Twenty mem
bers attended the event presented
by Maxme Cooper from Miller's
in Klamath Falls Models were

RETURNS FROM HAWAII
MALIN Mrs. Margaret Jacob
returned to her home in Mai in oa
March 4 after a vacation trip to
IHawau She left by plane from
Portland with a friend. Mrs,
Charles Leveque February 9.
Their first week was spent on
Oahu where they were conducted
on scenic tours and saw places
of interest. During the second
week they toured the islands ol
Mauie and Hawaii On February
24 they left Hawaii to fly to Port
land where Mrs. Jacob visited
several davs before returning to
