FRANCES COX'S engagement to Terry Hannon was
'announced February 2 1 at an after-hours party in the
Alpha Chi Omega sorority on the University or Oregon
campus. A red and white color scheme was used with a red
carnation, tied with a white streamer telling the betrothal
news, given to each girl. Frances is the daughter of Dr.
and Mrs. John Cox, and is a sophomore et the university
where her fiance is a junior and a member of Sigma Phi
Epsilon fraternity. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George A.
Fawver. In Eugene to the women could attend the party
were Dr. and Mrs. Cox, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Larkin, Mrs.
Fawver, Mrs. Ann Burns, Terry's grandmother, all from
Klamath Falls; Mr. and Mrs. George Calley, grandparents
ef the bride-elect, and Carol Ann Calley, her cousin, from
Portland. The wedding will be an August event.

CAROLYN ANN HUNT, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Robert. Warren Hunt of the Midland Road, is the bride
elect of John Patrick McAuliffe, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Patrick J. McAuliffe of Anderson, California, and Fort
Klamath. Both young people are members of well known,
longtime residents of the Klamath area. Carolyn is a senior
at Henley High School. Her fiance, a 1 957 graduate of
Anderson Union High School, is associated with his father
in the cattle business near Cottonwood, California. The
