birthday tea at her home on De
cember 31, given by her daugh
ters, Mrs. Amos Hoyt of Tulelake,
Mrs. Donald Asher and Mrs.
Charles Asher, bom of Alturas,
Mrs. Pensclly was born in Sac
ramento and came to Alturas with
her parents. H. G. and Carrie
Kimsey Warner.
The large tea table was covered
with a crocheted tablecloth made
bv Mrs. Hoyt. A fruitcake was
served from a crystal cake stand
which the honoree and her late
husband, Henry, received as a
wedding gift more than a half
century ago. Chrysanthemums of
an orchid hue arranged in a crys
tal bowl and tall white tapers
formed the centerpiece.

at the 100K Hall. The lodge room
was attractively decorated with sil
ver baskets of pink carnations and
sprays of silver evergreens. Mrs.
Velma Krauss was installed as no
ble grand for 1959. Her name in
large silver letters was placed
aoove her station.
Candles in the east were lighted
by candlclighters Lynnette Angel
granddaughler of Mrs. Krauss
and Cathy Angel of Hildebrand
who were dressed in while satin
angel costumes trimmed with rhine
stones and glitter. As the little "An
