MOUNT SHASTA A schoolday
romance culminated inapretty
wedding Saturday evening, Decem
ber 13, when Anne Marie Frank
became the bride of Theron Jay
Haines. The wedding rites were
observed in the Mount Shasta Com
munity Methodist Church, with Pas
tor Harold Engdam olticiating be
fore 125 guests.

Chapter 5 OES Honors Members
LAKEVIEW Past matrons, past
patrons and 50-year members were
honored by Oriental Chapter No.
5. Order of Kastern Star, Tues
day evening, December 9, at the
Masonic Temple. Erma Clause
was assisting marshal.
,The honored guests were four
50-ycar members, E. W. White.
Lora Conn, .May Swift and Anna
F. Jones: nine past matrons, Erma
Clause, Margaret Rugg, Anna F.
Jones, May Swift, Ruth Favell.
Lora Conn, Bea Paxton, Hazel
Van Cleave and Marion Franklin;
and six past patrons. Arthur Rugg.
K. G. Favell, E. W. White, Bill
Van Cleave, Henry Bergstrom and
. Deward Bell. All were escorted to
the east and presented with gifts
from the chapter.
Other guests present were Clara
B. Johnson of Iron RiBcr Chap
ter No. 410, Iron River, Michigan,
and W. B. Snider, Fremont Chap
ter No. Ifi9, Paisley.
Entertainment was furnished by
Jimmy Cogburn of the DeMolay:
Alice and Oneta Elle and Sherry
Jarman of Job's Daughters.
The committee in charge of re
freshments which followed was
made up of Goldia' Robinson, Doris
bimmons and Bilhe Morgan.
CRAB FEED '
MALIN A group of young mar
ried couples were entertained at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. George
Rajnus on Wednesday evening, De
cember 10, "villi an informal crab
feed. Guests included Mr. and
Mrs. Wayne Rick, Mr. and Mrs.
Norman Ottoman, Mr. and Mrs.
Art Evans, Mr. and Mrs. Rodney
Ottoman, and Mr. and Mrs. Clark
Unruh.

Mrs. David Remour, was dressed
in white lace, ballerina-style
dress. She carried a white Bible,
with ribbon streamers, a gift from
her mother. She was given in mar
riage by her father, David Remour.
Her school friend, Louise McCoy,
was maid of honor.
Dennis Engdahl was candlelight
er. Jack Frank was usher.
The bridegroom was attended by
his brother, Dale Haines, as best,
man.
Both young people are graduates!
of the Mount Shasta schools. The
bride was employed at the time ol
her wedding by the Pacilic State
Telephone and Telegraph Company
at Dunsmuir. She is past honored
queen of Job's Daughters.
The bridegroom is stationed at a
Tampa, Florida, air base.
A reception w:as held in the
church parlor following the wed
ding where more than 100 relatives
.ind friends congratulated the new-
I 'weds, and wished them happiness
A four-tiered cake was cut and
served with coffee and punch.
The bride wore a brown suit for
her going - away costume. Their
honeymoon was an overland trip.

Club on Monday evening at the
home of Marjone Young.
