His doctors said Sunday the
jurist, oldest member of the Su
preme Court at 76, was resting
comfortably at George Washing
ton University Hospital.
"If there's been any change,
it's been for the better," the doc
tors reported.
CUB SCOUTS FROM MILLS SCHOOL, under the direction of Mrs. Thurman Turner, den
mother, took a conducted tour of the Southern Pacific roundhouse recently. The boys got
to see several types of diesel-electric locomotives from the inside, as well as the ro
tary snow plow, the sand house with its machinery, the power plant, and the Flanger
cars that are used to clean snow off the tracks. The boys also visited the roundhouse
office with its telephones and radio communications devices, and wound up the tour
