craft worker, took off Thursday.
They want to break the 50-day en
durance record for single-engine
planes.

ed after 18 hours because of car
buretor trouble.
Three seats have been removed
from the Cessna 172 to provide a
sleeping area behind the front
scat. The fliers plan to refuel by
flying low, dropping a hook and
picking up a fuel hose from
a truck speeding along an airport
runway.
