Boys Placed
On Probation
Two youths, both 17. were caught
prowling cars by a city police offi
cer who at the time was clad in a
bathrobe, each was sentenced to a
year on probation in district court
Tuesday.

tions they get a job and work each
working day, be at home by 10
each night, and not leave the coun
ty without permission.
Or, said the judge, they may go
to school if they wish.
These youths were two of
the three caught prowling
cars last month by City Patrolman
Ray Howard, who took chase clad
in a bathrobe and armed with
flashlight and a pistol.
The third youth, 19, previously
was sentenced to a probationary
period.
KU Script Guild
Back In Action
With the opening of the fall term
of school, members of the script
and Microphone Guild again went
into action.
This year, among other activi
ties of the guild, members will
again present the Klamath Sports
Album over Radio Station KFJI,
beginning today at 8 p.m. Bob De
Pew will be student sportscaster.
The program which will bring
behind - the - scenes looks at the
sports world and glimpses of
coaches, players and others con
nected with sports in the Klamath
Basin will be given at the same
time each Wednesday.

anon sailed early today for a ren
dezvous with the U.S. 6th Fleet.

Visitors Mr. and Mrs. Oliver
Kelly, Waverly, Kansas, parents of
Mrs. Jim Allen, this city, flew to
the West Coast to visit members
of their family. This was their
first plane trip and an enjoyable
one for the Kansas couple. Mr.
Kelly, a farmer, said crops in
the Midwest were good this year.
