NEW YOgK (UPD The Presi
dent's heart consultant, Dr. Paul
Dudley White, has told his fellow
physicians their own health is not
to hot and it's higho time they
adopted a new rule of life: "Phy
sician, keep thyself healthy."
White was soliciting professional
support for his program of im
proving the nation's health by
putting Americans on bicycles.
The resulting unstrenuous exer
cise would be good for their ar
teries and prolong their lives. But
first, bicycling must se made
safe.
Toward that end, he askiSi phy

spaced over the past nine
years, these apiivarancess hare
firmly established Hank and his
boys as all-time Klamath Basin
favcriles. Baldy Evans, who spon
sora Hani every time he comes
to town, says, supporting this
statement with statistics: "The
poorest crowd he ever drew was
859 and his best was 1,373."
Apparently this popularity is
widespread throughout the nation,
for Baldy says that Hank and his
boys have been rated the No. 1
western band in the nation since
1952. and that Hank ranks among
the top 10 all-time favorite folk
singers, with over 20 songs in the
western "Honor Roll of Hits.
"At the present time." Baldy
says, "Hank's newest recording.
'Squaws Along the Yukon, is fast
gaining nationwide popularity and
is already on the western music
best seller lists."
Hank's music varies from the
old western favorites to the hit
tunes of the day. There will be
dancing to his music Saturday
night from 9 to 1 o'clock at the
Old Armory.
