here Friday night.
"MAKE MINE COUNTRY STYLE" was the theme for the
sixth annual flower show of the Malin Garden Club, and
this genial bossy illustrated the theme for visitors in the
main foyer of the show building. Near the hall entrance
was another exhibit, an old milk cart filled with geraniums.

on September 30, 1958, tho following:
All of th merchantable ponderosa and lodgepolo pint logs
marked with the OSHC brand and yellow paint piled in lag
decks alongside Oregon State Highway 58 (Willamette Hwy.)
on the Middle Unit, Crescent Lake Jet. The Dalles-California
Jet. Section, Klamath County, Oregon, between approx. Engin
ear's Stations 412 00 and 444 60 and between approx. En
gineers Stations 492 . 00 and 585 ... 00. The logs are property
of the Oregon Stote Highway Comm. and are situated on lands
belonging to the U.S. Government (Deschutes National Forest).
The minimum bid which v.!! I be accepted is $3,144.00. Sealed
bids will be accepted in placa of oral bids if received at the
office of W. H. Haikin, Property Mgr., State Hwy. Dept., Sa
lem, Oregon, by Sept. 26, 1958, plainly marked en the en
velope "Timber Sola, Sept. 30, 1958", accompanied by a cer
tified check of not less thon $500.

country scene surrounded by a
rustic split rail fence in the main
foyer of the building.
Sweepstakes awards wore made
to Mrs. Hobert Byrne in tne ar
rangement division and to Mrs.
Alice Olson and Mrs. T. E. Evans
for exhibits entered in the horti
culture division. Philip Petrosek
received the junior achievement
award.
General chairman of the flower
ihow was Mrs. Edwin Stastny,
with Mrs. Loyal Loveness doing
the staging. Accredited judges
were Mrs. N. E. Nyhart, Mrs.
Scott McKendree, Mrs. Crystel
Chcyno and Mrs. Charles Thur
man of Klamath Falls; Mrs. M. A.
Bowman of Merrill and Mrs. Earl
McFall of Tulelako.
Special exhibits included an or
chid display by Mrs. Karl Kujac,
a wildflowor conservation display,
and a film on the "Litterbug Cam
paign." In each class of the arrange
ment division there was a section
for those who won five or more
blue ribbons and a section for
those who won less than five blue
ribbons in previous flower shows.
