Pet Milk and Jell-0
Ice Cream Sauces
Featured at Buy-Low
The ice cream sauces being fea
tured by Pet Evaporated Milk and
Jell-0 Instant Pudding (the 'busy
day' dessert) will be available
for tasting at Buy-Low Food Cen
ter. 1338 Oregon Avenue, on Sat
urday. Bud Robinson, Pet Milk and
Sego Milk representative (or South
ern Oregon and Joe Hok, General
Foods representative, will put on
the day-long demonstration for
Harold Clark at the Buy-Low su
permarket. Recipes are in most of the mar
kets in Klamath Falls right now,
telling the easy ways to make top
pings for America's favorite des
sert, the ice cream sundae. Here
are some of the combinations:
BITTKRSCOTCH
SAIC'E
Mix until smooth 1 package of
Jell-0 Butterscotch Instant Pud
ding and 2-3 cup of dark corn .sy
rup. Stir in gradually H cup' of
Pet Evaporated Milk. Let stand to
thicken, about 10 minutes.
This makes about two cups of
topping for ice cream or puddings.
Keep the remainder of the sauce
in the refrigerator if you don't
use u an at once.
CHOCOLATE MINT

0 Chocolate Instant Pudding and
12-3 cup light or dark corn syrup.

VARIATIONS

sauces can be used for any fancy
ice cream sundae you wish to
dream up. Party parfoits in your
prettiest tall, slim glasses make a
hit for dessert or for a treat at any
time. Alternate scoops of ice
cream with your favorite sauces.
Top with a cherry.
Keep extra portions of the sauces
in the refrigerator, Tcady for the
youngsters' ice cream bar these
hot summer days. Remember that
ice cream will help give the young
sters their full milk quota during
these months they are missing the
regular milk servings at school.

COOLING DRINK
Add richly flavored apricot

with milk and cream just until

four youngsters a sundae for each
hand if you're really feeling gen
erous. TRAVELING SUNDAES
1 cup light cream
I cup cold milk
1 package Royal Instant Ba
nana Cream Pudding
8 waffle ice cream cuplets
V4 cup chocolate syrup
Instant whipped topping

deep bowl. Add pudding. Beat un
til well mixed, about one minute.
Pour into ice cream cuplets.
Freeze in refrigerator freezing
compartment -with control set for
fast freezing, or in freezer. When
partially frozen, insert a dinner
knife handle toward one side and
straight down into the pudding of
each cuplet. Remove knife handle1
and fill hole with chocolate syrup

Serve with whipped topping and
a sprinkling of nuts, more syrup,
or maraschino cherry If desired.
Makes 8 sundaes.
