Shrine Circus
Set Tuesday
Comedy takes on a variety of
forms in this year's edition of Po-
lack Brothers Circus which will
show at the fairgrounds under the
sponsorship of the Klamath Falls
Shrine Club. Tuesday and Wednes
day, with matinee and night per
formances at 2:15 and 8:15 daily.
Mirth motivates the acrobatic
skills of the Original Cutis, whose
pandemonium of pranks is a laugh-
inducing highlight of the circus.
Outstanding individual comic is
Tommy Hanneford, unpredictable
buffoon- of the famous George
Hanneford Family of bareback
riders.
There are ingratiating touches of
humor in the performances of Jan
et's Pet Revue. Jennier's Seals and
the Besalou Elephants.
The clowns, who appear before
the circus and at intervals during
its progress, are headed by the un
inhibited happy hobo Gene Ran-
dow, who this year has a minia
ture counterpart in the person of
I Harold Simmons.
Appearing for the first time in
America are the Bizzarro Broth
ers, a trio of musical mimes from
Italy whose bell-ringing and me
lodious surprises provide a refresh
ing novelty.
Musical versatility also is dis
played by clowns Johnny Cirillino
and Chuckles Facer, the former a
recruit from vaudeville's song-and-dance
ranks.
In a circus memorable for its
tension-building thrill features, the
comedy interludes afford the prop
er relief.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP)-It
was the small hours of the morn
ing when the old coon dog began
to bay. A shotgun roared and a
man screamed. Investigating offi
cers found a man who explained:
"I got to hearin' Old, Sad (the
coon dog) baying, and 1 just got
so happy listenin' to him I had to
do some shootin and hollerin'.
Picnic The Altamont Exten
sion picnic will be held at Mrs.

It will be potluck with coffee, ice
tea, rolls and butter furnished.

The Degree of Honor will hold
its annual hostess night tonight at
8 o'clock at the Knights of Colum
