more so than Mrs. Charles I Ivy) Drew, right, seated, and her sisters, Mrs. Georgia
Meiers, Santa Cruz, California, left, and Mrs. Charmion Johnson, center, of Klamath
Falls. The trio are daughters of the late Mr. and Mrs. R. A. (Bob) Emmett, who came
to Klamath County from Roseburg on June 14, 1875. Mrs. Emmett rode horseback and
led a pack animal across the mountains soon after the end of the Modoc War. Stand
ing, left to right, Homer Martin, Glendale, Oregon, whose birthday was honored at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Drew on July 20; Mrs. Wesley (Pearl) Gibson,
