ULTRA-MODERN MOTEL apartments have been built and are operated by Carol J. and
Geno Gheller at 2246-50 Union Avenue. Mrs. Gheller, shown here in the' driveway be
tween thetwo rows of four units each of the new Kimberly Motel, has won competitive
prizes for design in California. She drew plans for the units herself and they plan to .ex
pand the eight units into a larger operation with a future entranceway on South Sixth
Street and Martin. Each contains a bedroom, sitting room, kitchen and bath and the low
er picture shows convenient built-ins, comfortable, modern furniture, electric heat and
wall to wall carpeting. Harmonious color schemes are carried out in the individual apart
ments, even to colored bath towels to match the ceramic tile bath-shower combinations.

Producers Aim For More
Adult Themes In Pictures
By BOB THOMAS
HOLLYWOOD (AP) - In the
search to find film subjects that
will attract customers to the thea
ters, the movie makers have come
up with one on artificial insemina
tion.
This is no sensation - nacked
quickie, but a top-flight produc
tion made in England and star
ring Julie London and Anthony
Steel. Back homo again, Julie
tilled me in on it.
"The title was 'A Question of
Adultery,' " she explained, "but
the Johnston olfice won't let us
use that title in America. 1 un
derstand the title here will be
The Seventh Commandment.' "
The story, she related, was a
composite of several cases that
have actually happened in the
British Isles.- A husband and his
pregnant wife are involved in an
auto accident that causes her to
lose the haby and him to become
sterile. They have a test tube
baby. j
After the wife gives birth to the
child, the marriage breaks up and
the husband sues lo have the
child declared illegitimate. Two
such cases have been tried in
Kngland and Scotland. Julie said.
In one instance, the husband won.
in the other he lost.
"We shot two endincs to
olic countries, where artificial in
semination is condemned. ThH
other ending will be used in Eng
land and America."
Julie admitted she had some
qualms about doing the picture.
She recalled how her 9-year-old
daughter picked up the script and
asked what the word "adultery"
meant. "It's a funny feeling to be
making pictures your own chil
dren can't see," she sighed.
But the era when all films cm
be simon-pure for children's eyes
has passed. Nowadays producers
have to aim lor more adult
themes, and heaven only knows
what they'll tackle next.
