David Eskildsen on June 20 in Port
land All Saints Episcopal Church.
The Rev. Louis B. Keiter officiated
at the 8 p.m. nuptial ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Fred L. Pope, well known
Fort Klamath ranchers and the
bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Niels
Eskildsen and the late Niels Eskild
sen, Portland.
Linda, escorted and given in mar
riage by her father, wore a gown
of airy white imported embroid
ered organdy with ah extravagant
ly full bouffant skirt over a hooped
foundation. The floor length hem
line swept into a brief chapel train.
Embroidered scallops outlined the
vee neck of the fitted short sleeved
bodice, which emphasized the
bride's slim waist.
A delicate tiara of pleated net.
lilies of the valley and touches of
seed pearls held her elbow length
veil. Her colonial bridal bouquet
also featured lilies of the valley
centered with a white orchid and
encircled with a ruffle of imported
French lace. She carried a family
heirloom handkerchief of Batten
burg lace and her ensemble includ
ed the traditional blue garter and
a penny in her shoe.
She was attended. as maid ol hon
or by Sue Ramsby, roommate and
Pi Beta Phi sorority sister at Uni
versity of Oregon. Sue wore a white
cotton lace over pale yellow taf-
leta. sheath with a snug cummer
bund of matching yellow talfeta.
Her ribbon coifette and daisy bou
quet were also yellow.
Best man, Stanley Urbigkeit,
Portland, and ushers. James Lynch.

Organist for the wedding was

tion in the social room of the
church were the same combination
as those used for the wedding with
other pastel garden flowers ar
ranccd in large room bouquets.
The three-tiered white and paslcl
yellow cake, encircled at the base
with yellow daisies and white Bou
vardia on leather fern, and topped
with a small arrangement of yel
low roses and white bouvardia,
was cut by the bridegroom s sister,
Mrs. Harold Eckman. and served
by Mary Ellen Ede, also a sorority
sister of the bride at University of
Oregon.
Mrs. J. William Livesay poured
coffee: Ardys Urbigkeit and Char
lene Isaacs were at one punch
bowl: Susan Raviia registered the
guests and Bonne Livesay, 11-year-
old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.

vows were exchanged June 22 by
Barbara Joan Zuur and Gordon
Lee Wilkinson. Barbara is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Law
rence Zuur of Santa Rosa. Gor
don's parents are Mr. and Mrs.
Noble C. Wilkinson, well known
Tulelake ranchers.
Monsignor Clement J. McKenna
of St: Vincent's Catholic Church in
San Rafael officiated at the 2 p.m.
Sacrament of Holy Matrimony.
White gladioli and snapdragons
graced the altar. August Palmieri.
Sanla Rosa, sang "Ave Maria."
"Panis Angelicas" and "On This
Day, Oh Beautiful Mother."
The bride, escorted to the allar
by her father, was gowned in bal
lerina length, with bouffant skirt.
The long torso lace bodice was
designed with Italian neckline and
the long, pointed sleeves ended in
points . at the wrists. A bandeau
of lace and pearls held her finger
tip veil of tulle. She carried an
arrangement of white carnations.
Mrs. Melvin Flohr. sister of the
bride, was matron of honor. Hor
white dotted swiss dress was
trimmed with tiny coral flowers.
Her flowers were coral carnations.
Christine Zuur: (lower girl, wore
a dress identical to her older sis
ter's and also carried a miniature
arrangement of carnations in the
same coral shade.
Jerald Rodder. Los Altos, was
best man. Ushers were Richard
Rossini, San Francisco: Melvin
Flohr and Thomas L. Zuur, the
bride's brother of Santa Rosa.
For her daughter's wedding,
Mrs. Zuur chose a pure silk print
of avocado and Mimosa yellow,
with matching hat. Mrs. Wilkinson
wore a pastel blue silk shantung
sheath with matching picture hat
and an orchid corsage.
A garden reception followed the
service at the Carmel home of Mr.
and Mrs. Walter Hunter.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Wilkinson
left by plane for a two-weeks wed
ding trip to Mexico. Mrs. Wilkin
son decided on a black sheath with
white accessories for traveling.
They are now at home at 215 Cor
bett, San Francisco.
Barhara is a graduate of San
Jose State College where she af
filiated with Alpha Phi. She has
taught in Carmel. Her husband, a
graduate of Tulelake High School
and the University of California
at Berkeley, is associated with Si
chel . Equipment Company, San
r rancisco.

Pope wore a creamy beige lace
sheath with scoop neckline and
bracelet sleeves. Her gloves and
slippers and handbag were match
ing beige as was her hat a mod
ified "wig" of feathers. Accenting
the ensemble was a single white
orchid worn as a shoulder corsage
Mrs. Eskildsen attended her son s
wedding and the reception in a
wedgewood blue silk shantung suit
with matching accessories and
her corsage was a white orchid.
The bachelor party for the bride
groom was given by fraternity
brother Bruce Tilus at the Titus
home in Portland on June 18
Guests were all close friends and
AiO fraternity brothers.
On Thursday evening, June 19,
before the Friday nuptials, mother
ol the bridegroom and his sislcr,
Mrs. Eckman, entertained at the
Eskildsen home with an after-rehearsal
buffet supper and party for
members of the wedding party and
out of town guests.
Pre-nuptial parties for the bride
included a miscellaneous shower
given by Sue Ramsby at the Pi
Beta Phi sorority house on the Eu
gene campus; a shower in Portland
also miscellaneous, given by
Hetty Shelley; and a kitchen shower
given by Mrs. Edwin Miers at her
Portland home.
Linda, graduated from Chilonuin
High School in 1955. was valedic
torian of her class. She enrolled at
University of Oregon where she be
came affiliated wilh Pi Bela Phi
social sorority and met her hus
band. He is a graduate of Lincoln
High School, Portland, was gradu
atcd in business administration
from U of 0 in 1958. During his
senior year he was president of the
Alpha lau Omega chapter house.
The couple honeymooned briefly
before returning to Portland where
John will work this summer, and
where Linda will continue as sec
retary in the oftice of a Portland
physician and surgeon. They are
now at home, 913 NE 47th Street.

Sue Claire Dunham, mid-June
bride of Donald Edward Murphy.
She is the daughter of Mrs. R.
Michael Laubhan and the late Ma
jor Don Dunham, Lemoncove, Cal
ifornia. Major Dunham, a native
of Klamath Falls, was killed in
action in Italy during World War
II. He was the stepson of Mrs.
F. A. Dunham. 435 Oak Avenue,
and the son of late E. A. I Ed)
Dunham, well known Klamath Ba
sin business man, and the brother
of Mrs. Dorothy Dunham Ankeny,
128 Hillside.
The bridegroom is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Werner Murphy.
Nelson, California, who have
ranching interests in Butte Coun
ty' ....
The marriage was solemnized in
St. John's Cathedral on Saturday,
June 14. Monsignor Francis X. Sin
gleton officiated at the 2 p.m.
nuptial ceremony in tne presence
ot some 200 guests. The bride was
given in marriage by her step
father, R. Michael Laubhan.
Her Iloor length gown of while
Swiss organdy was designed with
a modified off-the-shoulder neck
line, chemise sleeves and a skirt
that flared from the slim, fitted
bodice. Bands of Guipure-type lace
bordered the low, oval neckline
and vertical bands of Ihe same
lace tapered to the waist and con
tinued in a princess effect onto
the extremely full skirt.
She wore a waist length veil of
silk illusion, brief gauntlets of or
gandy and she carried a cas
cade bouquet of blue and white
carnations wilh stcphanotis.
Her cousin, Mrs. John Simkins,
matron of honor; and bridesmaids.
Mrs. Don Dunham, sister-in-law of
the bride: Dorothy Barsamian,
both of Fresno; Bara Ledford, Dos
Palos: and Karen Myers. Oroville,
wore identical ensembles. Their
dresses were of blue nylon dotted
Swiss with ballerina length skirts,
chiffon cummerbunds and diagonal
pleat detail on the bodices, and
they wore white picture hats with
large sweetheart bows of matching
satin.
Flower girl for her aunt was
Kathy Dunham, 5-year-old daugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Dunham.
She was dressed in a yellow dot
ted Swiss replica of the senior at
tendants' frocks and carried a bas
ket of blue and white carnations

Michael Murphy, best man, are

The cathedral was decorated
with basket bouquets of white glad-

Ihe same colors prevailed in the
floral decor for the reception in
St. John's Hall, and blue scrolls
and rosebuds decorated the white
wedding cake, which was cut with
a family heirloom cake knife. The
bridegroom s sister, Jean Murnhv
registered the guests; and Pat
Sorenson served the cake and
punch.

Fort Lee, Virginia, where he will
report as a second lieutenant for
six months training in the Army.

LOVELY DIANE MICKA, dauohter of Mr. and Mrs.
George Micka, pioneer family of Malin has pledged her
troth to Ronald Stephens, whose family has also lived in the
Malin community for many years. Diane, eldest of three
daughters, Is a graduate of the Malin High School, class
nf 1957 and spent her freshman year at the University of
Oregon where she is affiliated with Delta Zeta sorority.
Her husband-to-be is the son of Mrs. J. F. Hanish, Ingle
wood, California, and Mr. Bonnie Stephens of Tulelake,
California. He is majoring at Ojegon State College in
physical education, is a senior student and president of
Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity house where he resides during
the school year. He is spending the summer in Malin.

Murphy was graduated early in
June from Fresno- State College
where he was an agricultural me
chanics major and a member

is now ranching with his father
near Chico, where the couple is
now at home. '

Cruz and San Francisco, and for
travel, the new Mrs. Murphy
changed to a gray and white pin
