Steve Allen's summer replace
ment starls July 13, with newly
weds Steve Lawrence and Edyie
Gorme, both singers and Allen
alumni, heading the cast for a
dozen weeks. The show comes out
of Steve's own production com
pany. Steve will go to Europe for
a month or so.
The "Alcoa Theater" and "Good
year Theater" re-runs start July
7 on NBC. There will be 12,
through Sept. 22.
The NBC Opera Company's pre
sentation of the new Gian Carlo
Menotti opera, "Maria Golovin."

Henry Calvin, who is the com
edy relief on ABC's "Zorro" in the
role of Sergeant Garcia, will do
more singing on the series next
season. He sang three times dur
ing the past season, and viewers
deluged the producers with re
quests for more. He has sung in
uroaaway musicals and once was
bass soloist at Radio City Music
nan in new YotK.
Sid Caesar, whose half-hour on
ABC the latter part of this season
failed to survive, has ben signed
to do some of the Sunday one-hour
variety shows next fall in the Di
nah Shore spot on NBC. Dinah
gels every fourth Sunday off.
Bing Croshy has a deal with ABC
covering both television and radio
which calls for him to appear in
a minimum of two 90-minuto sdc.
