LONDON (UPI) Ever get
mad at some organization and

builder Pat Pateman, 42.
Pateman was refused member

promptly bought the club's 120-
ac-re links, clubhouse and all.
Three years ago Pateman ap
plied to renew hismembership in
the Longcliffe Golf Club near
Loughborough. But his applica
tion uia not receive me necessary
support from two-thirds of the
committee.
"I took a poor view of that,"
Pateman said today. "Now the
shoe is on the other foot."
Pateman, who bought the club
for an undisclosed sum Monday,
said that "it 1 do not approve of
two-thirds of the committee now
I can do something about it.
"I am under no obligation to
renew the lease."
He added, "perhaps this will
teach the committee a lesson.'
